To achieve its objectives, the GRIISIQ adopts different strategies, including:

• Coordinates and enhances the expertise of nursing researchers from GRIISIQ's four partner universities through collaborative projects.
• Supports the development of pilot and clinical-research projects that will allow GRIISIQ members to be more competitive when applying for funds from granting agencies.
• Fosters an interest in nursing-intervention research by providing fellowships and grants that enable nursing students to conduct projects at the graduate and post-graduate levels.
• Promotes a research culture in clinical settings by including clinical directors and clinicians on GRIISIQ's committees and activities.
• Provides a venue for consultation and the exchange of knowledge among researchers in Quebec and the rest of Canada, the United States, and overseas, in particular by hosting guest professors and researchers.
