About GRIISIQ
Mission and objectives
GRIISIQ (the Quebec Interuniversity Nursing Intervention Research Group) is a unique Canadian entity involved exclusively in developing and evaluating nursing interventions and measuring their clinical outcomes.
McGill University's School of Nursing, the University of Montreal's Faculty of Nursing, the University of Sherbrooke's School of Nursing, and University Laval's Faculty of Nursing are all affiliated with the Group.
Mission
GRIISIQ's mission consists in developing cutting-edge research on nursing interventions with clinical outcomes.
Objectives
GRIISIQ's objectives are to:
- Create and consolidate a critical mass of nurse scientists interested in the effectiveness and efficiency of nursing interventions in Canada's healthcare system;
- Develop and evaluate innovative nursing interventions in partnership with the clinical arena;
- Generate evidence-based knowledge in the area of innovative nursing interventions;
- Facilitate the transfer of knowledge and promote evidence-based nursing practices.
With respect to projects funded by the organization, these objectives are intended, more specifically, to:
- Generate evidence-based nursing knowledge;
- Develop and evaluate innovative nursing interventions resulting in clinical outcomes;
- Promote knowledge exchanges between the research and clinical arenas.
In the long term, GRIISIQ's ultimate goal is to become an international authority on nursing intervention research.
